• Project/estimate info: measurements, scope selections, notes, and estimate details.

• Client details (optional): homeowner/client name, phone number, email, address, and related project notes (only if you choose to enter it).

• Support messages: information you send us by email or through forms.

Payment information
If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers. Stripe may collect and process payment details according to their policies.

Automatic information

• Usage data: pages/screens viewed, actions taken in the app, and general feature usage.

• Device/technical data: browser type, device type, IP address, and approximate location (city/region) based on IP.

• Cookies/local storage: used to keep you logged in and improve site performance.

2) How We Use Information
We use information to:

• Provide and operate the Service (create estimates, generate PDFs, save estimates).

• Create, maintain, and secure your account.

• Communicate with you (support, onboarding, important service updates).

• Process subscriptions and manage billing.

• Improve the Service (performance, usability, bug fixes, new features).

• Prevent fraud, misuse, and unauthorized access.

• Comply with legal obligations where required.

Marketing and Promotional Emails
If you opt in, we may send marketing emails about new features, promotions, or My Smart Estimate news. You can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any promotional email or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send essential transactional emails (such as billing receipts, password resets, or critical service updates).

3) Contractor Client Data
My Smart Estimate is built for contractors. If you enter your client’s personal information (for example, a homeowner’s name, address, or email), you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to collect and use that information. We use that data only to provide the Service to you (for example, saving it with an estimate and generating a PDF).

4) How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these situations:

Service providers
We use trusted third parties to run the Service (for example, hosting, databases, payment processing, and email). These providers are permitted to process information only to perform services for us.

Website and forms (Wix): Our marketing website and any website forms may be hosted and processed by Wix, which may collect and store information you submit through the site (such as contact details and form responses) and may place cookies or similar technologies required to operate and secure the website.

Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or similar legal process, or if we believe it’s necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or the Service.

Business changes
